Welcome

Hello, I'm Chris, and I'm an engineer interested in using robots and machine learning to make life safer and a little simpler. While studying for my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, I got really excited about autonomous vehicles 🚘, so I naturally leaned into a lot more software and a lot less mechanical.

I worked as a sensor engineer at a self-driving truck company for a few years, then I moved to Rome, Italy 🇮🇹 to pursue my dream of playing professional water polo 🤽🏼‍♂️. While in Rome I started a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and I can't wait to use these skills in my next adventure!

Takes as input a scoresheet from a water polo game and outputs a file that lists the information in a tabular digital format using OpenCV and a trained neural network.

Demonstration of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) and path planning for a Robot Operating Systems (ROS) turtlebot3 navigating a 3D Gazebo world with lidar.

A study using computer vision to track the proximity of water polo players during a game. This study was then used to predict the potential spread of Covid-19 among athletes.

Warehouse machine prototyped with 3 other engineering students to autonomously move a 29 lb payload without wheel skidding. Designed, machined, and tested.

Web application card game hosted on GitHub. My friend created the game and wanted to play it against a computer, so I built it using Qt.
